Aaron's back in the house and also in firm control of the podcast description writing situation, so at least life will make a little more sense again. Except this podcast is devoted mostly to talking about games for the PS2, because we had a request to do that and we are nothing if not open to suggestions

Enjoy some vitriol aimed directly at the beloved PS2 classics, because y'all have terrible taste--but fear not! We did recommend Persona 4 first above all else, because we're not fucking lunatics.

After that, it's time to bury Konami forever, apparently, and hey by the way Persona 5 is delayed so now would be a good time to start weeping openly (but come on, you're going to be playing Phantom Pain a little while longer anyway).

Opening music is Back to the Light by Jun Fukuda off of Killer 7. Closing music is Rave On, by Masafumi Takada, also off of Killer 7.

I just noticed we've been misspelling Masafumi for like the last fifty episodes. Whoops!

No, really, come back. It's not all Metal Gear Solid and roses this time, with Aaron missing from the podcast and Paul trying to remember how this whole "recording" thing works. Matty Business joins and along with the inevitable Metal Gear talk there is also discussion about Satellite Reign, Until Dawn, Jurassic Park, and Skulljagger! Don't worry, it will all make sense, just give it a listen, won't you?

We also manage to scrounge up some news, including Starcraft II's final expansion releasing, Nintendo's new President, and Epic's generous donation of a bunch of assets that people maybe want to use for stuff!

Opening theme is Back to the Light, by Masafumi Takada.

Closing theme is Rave on! by Masafumi Takada.

That's the sound our gun makes when Big Boss comes to your base! That's the sound of your DOOM.

IMPORTANT NOTE: We don't spoil any of the story to Phantom Pain, but we talk a lot about the mechanics and some of the companions you can recruit--none of whom you wouldn't have seen in any of the game trailers, so don't freak out. Still, if the mere thought of anything that could remotely be construed as a story freaks you out, maybe give this episode a pass? But download us anyway so our stats look good, okay?

Phantom Pain came out, and we had a lot to say about it, which is part of why the show went long. We really like Phantom Pain, and did you know you can run around as a Lady Snake? Because you can! Plus, we dive into some talk about (heavy sigh) Destiny, including Bungie's recent courtroom defeat at the hands of Martin O'Donnell. Go get 'em, Marty! Additionally, please pay us to say your game is good--we'll follow the law and everything.

I could probably just copy and paste Metal Gear a bunch of times and that would sum this up real nicely, but that's not all we talk about--just mostly what we talk about.

There's some critical talk about all manner of things, including emulation, Killer 7, and our horrifying cyberpunk hat-buying future. I'd say more, but really I have some Metal Gear Solid to play.
